38. Request V/s Threat.

As of yesterday, when I went to a government department in connection with a tender, I saw that people from all over the country have come to participate in the tender.

At the same time, a Delhi based company had also come to participate and when that company was in the process to submit the tender, some local suppliers came there with their team and threatened to not submit the  tender to the Delhi company. When the team from Delhi told that according to every clause of the tender document, they are eligible to participate upon the tender even the company has its branch office in their state, yet they were not hearing and were constantly disarmed, constantly threatened.

Now when the matter reached to the company's Directors, by then the company's reputation came on stake. The company refused to accept those local supplier's argument. Directors of the company used their links, reaching the police. State police, media all reached there.

After the arrival of police and media, things started getting worse. Gradually, those local suppliers started to realize that they are adopting the wrong way because after constant intimidation, that company is not changing its intention even after threatening. After discussing with each other for some time, they decided that they should apologize to the company and request not to participate in the tender. All of them once again went to the members of the company with their team and this time they requested but not threatened.

Their request was accepted, the company refused to participate upon the tender. This was only upon the request of local suppliers. Those local suppliers did not have to work too hard to request as much as they had done in threatening them.

It often happens with us Instead of having Works done by request we initiate it by threat. And Subsequently the work get spoiled.

कल की ही बात है , एक सरकारी department में किसी tender के सिलसिले में गया था तो वहां देखा कि Tender में भाग लेने के लिए देश भर से भी  लोग आये है। 

वहीं पर एक दिल्ली की कंपनी भी आई हुई थी और जब वो कंपनी Tender दाल रही थी तो वहां के कुछ local suppliers अपनी team के साथ आकर दिल्ली की कंपनी को tender ना डालने की धमकी देने लागे, उनसे बुरा बेवहार करने लागे, पिटवा देने की बात करने लागे।  जब दिल्ली की team ने ये बताया कि  Tender document के हर clause के हिसाब से वो लोग tender डालने में सक्षम है, कंपनी की  Branch office उनके राज्य में है, फिर भी वो लोग नहीं मान  रहे थे और लगातार बेहेस कर रहे थे, लगातार धमकिया दे रहे थे। 

अब जब बात पहुंची कंपनी के Directors तक, तब तक कंपनी की reputation पर बात आ गई थी। कंपनी ने उन local suppliers की बात को मानने से बिलकुल इंकार कर दिया। कंपनी के directors ने अपने Links का इस्तमाल किया, Police तक बात पहुंच गई।  State पुलिस, Media सब वहां  पहुंच गई। 

Police और media के आने के बाद बात और ज्यादा बिगड़ने लगी।  धीरे-धीरे उन local  suppliers को ये एहसास होने लगा कि वो लोग गलत तरीका अपना रहे है क्योकि लगातार डराने के बाद, धमकिया देने के बाद भी वो कंपनी अपना इरादा नहीं बदल रही । कुछ देर आपस में discuss करने के बाद उन्होंने ये decide किया कि उन्हें कंपनी से माफ़ी मांगनी चाहिए और Tender ना डालने के लिए Request  करना चाहिए। वो सब एक बार फिर अपनी Team  साथ कंपनी के members के पास गए और इस बार उन्होंने धमकी नहीं request कि। 

उनकी request क़ुबूल हो गई, कंपनी ने local suppliers की request पर tender ना डालने का नकि किया | उन  local suppliers को request करने में ज्यादा मेहनत भी नहीं करनी पड़ी जितना उन्होंने धमकिया देने में  कर दी थी। 

अक्सर ऐसा होता है हमारे साथ कि जो काम हम REQUEST से कर सकते है वहां हम अपनी ego के चलते खोकले धमकियों से करते हैऔर हमारा काम बिगड़ता है।   

37. A Small Break Is Always Much Needed Therapy,

A person had once said a very good thing that when we are frustrated with our daily work, then he should just take a leave for a few days so that after a change we again charge-up.

After Lockdown everyone wanted a change, I also wanted to.

For the last two days I had gone to the wedding of my friend's brother where I met some friends of my hostel, senior, junior. Seeing this meeting of ours, it forced the pages of old memories to turn. We once again experienced  the same hostel's day. One special thing was that there was no discrimination of senior-juniors in this meeting, but what was there was happiness to meet the hostel fellows in the face of everyone. The same old memories, the same old stories, as if the night became short, but the talks did not end.

We danced, enjoyed every ritual, as if he lived his life once again for two days. No where was there any sadness or worry on the face of anyone, just there was a glimpse of laughter on everyone's face.

After these two days of fun, today it felt like I am completely relaxed, and the energy to work has doubled.

एक इंसान ने एक बहुत अच्छी  बात कही थी कि जब अपनी रोज मरात के कामो  से परेशान हो जाओ तो कुछ दिनों के लिए कही घूम आना चाइये ताकि एक change के बाद हम फिर से charge-up हो सखे। 

Lockdown के बाद हर कोई एक change चहाता था , मुझे भी चाहिए था। 

बिते दो दिन मैं  Bokakhat, अपने दोस्त के भाई की शादी में गया था वहां अपने hostel के कुछ दोस्तों से, senior से, junior से मिला। हमारी ये मुलाकात नजाने कितने पुराने यादो के पन्नो को पलटने में मजबूर कर दिया। हमने फिर एक बार वही hostel के दिंनो को जी लिया। एक खास बात ये थी कि इस मुलाकात में कोई senior-junior का भेदभाव नहीं था, पर जो था वो था सबके चेहरे पर अपने hostel वालो से मिलने कि ख़ुशी। वही पुरानी बाते, वही पुराने किस्से , मानो वो रात छोटी हो  गयी पर बाते खत्म  नहीं हुए। 

दिल खोल कर dance किया, हर एक रसम का मजा लिया, मानो ये दो दिन फिर एक बार अपनी ज़िन्दगी को ही जी  लिया। कहीं भी किसी के चेहरे पर उदासी या चिंता नहीं थी बस हसीं सबके चेहरे पर झलक  थी। 

इन दो दिंनो कि मस्ती के बाद आज ऐसा लगा जैसे पूरी  तरह से relax हूँ, और काम करने की energy बिलकुल दुगनी हो गई।
